Default Two pins on KLR for knock sensor

Does anyone know why there are two pins on the KLR for the knock sensor? I think they are pins 11 and 13 if memory serves.

I cant scan the document but, this is direct from it

10 = ground
11 = ground
12 = ground, shield knock sensor
13 = knock sensor
15 = knocking yes/no (output)

It looks as only 12, 13 + 15 are to do with the knock sensor, there is nothing to say that 10+11 grounds are.

Ahhh...so 13 probably provides a constant voltage output where 15 probably provides a voltage spike when the knock sensor reaches a certain level of detection.

The pins are 11, 12 and 13. The signal lead is 13 and the common is 12. Pin 11 is shield ground.

The knock sensor is basically a microphone. If you were to look at the sensor with a scope you would see the audio frequency of the engine noise. The KLR has to filter out the knock noise from all the other sounds.
