17" and 18" wheel picture thread

'86 951 (early offset) with 17" CCW Classics:
(stock ride height)
'86 951 (updated to late offset) with 18" Cup II's
(on Escort Cup coil-overs)
No rubbing on either, but we'll see how that changes when I get new tires on the Cup II's

To keep with the thread, this isn't mine, but I like them! It's a ROW turbo/S2, but it needs to be lowered IMO. IIRC I yoinked this off the 944 random picture thread.

Thats interesting.. I dont think it necessiraly needs to be lowered, because the wheel gap looks pretty good, its just too high up. It would probably look better with a front splitter/rockers to make the car appear lower. That thing looks like it has better offroad capabilities then the cayanne the way it sits right now.

Hi guys,
I am looking into replacing my Design 90's. I have a 1990 turbo, with M030..I am considering several options but would be grateful if someone could tell me if I could fit a set of 18" turbo alloys, 8.5" ET47 front and 10" ET52 rears? There seems to be some confusion about the required ofset with the M030 set up? Would there be any danger of rubbing? Would there be any adverse handling issues?
regards
Matt

I believe you wound need spacers with that offset. I'm running 18" hollow spokes on my '88 and I've got 8.5" up front with a 52mm offset and 10" in the rear with a 65mm offset. No rubbing issues at all with a 285 tire.

Here´s mine
Cup3 copies (RH alurad) Front: ?X18" Et46, Rear: 10X18" Et40.
(225/40-18, 265/35-18)

sorry to but in on this thread, but Hi DLS,
that would be the exact look of mine, black bridge spoiler, cup mirrors etc were i to go for the 18" rims i mentioned earlier in the thread.
Do you know what ofsets your wheels are? I also have M030, do you think i'll have any issues running those wheels on my 951? I'm not planning on lowering it at all, the wheel sizes are: 8.5" ET47 front and 10" ET52 rears.
Have you always had those wheels or are they an upgrade, i'm just interested to know how they affect the handling, espeically if you chnaged from 16" Design 90's?
cheers

DLS - how did you get those ET40 rear wheels to fit without rubbing? I have a set of nice hollow turbo twists and as my car is lowered they just dont provide enough clearance for cornering.
