Jesse

Any details of the shop that did the dyno? I am in your area and I have been looking for a shop to do a baseline on my stock turbo prior to upgrading.

Thanks. My office is just a mile or two away from there. I'll check them out.

Not too many 951 guys in the area. Hopefully we can meet up sometime.

Keep us posted.

With the PigguBack he can make it run rich to throw flames.. However, with the chip/board, no matter if you run stock, 55#, 72# or 83# injectors the AFR is the same!! Of course I need to know which injectors is in use to program the chip..

Hey Jesse,

Thanks for posting the dyno sheet - looks fantastic for a stock turbo. Do you have recorded data on the AFR vs RPM?

That's only 15psi of boost peak? Are you sure? No little boost spikes? :-)

That's the equivalent of a 5.0L N/A (302 cubic inch V8) putting out about 600TQ to the wheels. I don't know that I've ever seen a 5 liter N/A put out 600 ft lbs of tq. It's extremely rare to see a 5 liter put out 600HP and requires quite a bit of money and rpm to do it. 600ft tq would be much harder to do.

2.5L turbo 2V at 1 bar boost = 5.0L N/A 2V at sea level (roughly speaking).

And while I've seen a boat load of various K26/6 cars put out the TQ you have, they have all been peaking well beyond 20+ psi boost to do it (more like in excess of 25 + psi). But in the end... all the K26/6 turbos roll off to much lower boost levels. This is why the HP is so much lower than the TQ.

With the MAF kit it seems low to me. My car K26/6 chipped and WG put out 250RWhp with stock AFM
at 15psi.

My car with similar set up only with lindsey full exhaust put out 221whp and 248 lb/ft. torque. This was on a mustang dyno. I dynoed my car on a dyno dynamics with my old set up and it was exactly 12% different. This means that I put out 248 whp and 278 torque. So this sounds very good on the torque to me. Oh and John I gained 20 lb/ft. of torque and 2 whp.

I thought 1988 951's came with 26/8 turbos?

Correct, unfortunately the clutch was on it last legs and we decided not to do any more runs. No tuning involved at all! Just a Vitesse MAF on a K26/6 car supported by a Lindsey DP wastegate.

Anders - this car had a cat? If it did, that is impressive.

Did you have as much torque?
