Default I need to drive my car soon or else..

I hate not being able to drive my car, I have now again done some online shopping just because I wanted some goodies for my car except for the few things that I (it) actually needed.

Ah well, what is another x00 bucks spent when the boost goods will be happy in the summer..

What have you spent on your car recently that you didn't really need but just had to have?

I know the feeling ... I started doing belts/seals/etc. mid-Nov, and figured I'd have it done fur sure by the new year. Turns out I've ony been able to spend a few hours a weeks working on her. And now with the Vitesse sale ... well, goodies are going to be here before I have her back together again. And yes, as wifey reminded me 'it runs fine, you don't really need that stuff', but I just had to try those Vitesse goodies for myself (I can hardly wait - talk about incentive to get things back together).

I have a slew of parts sitting in the garage that I haven't installed yet, my latest purchase being a set of 935/RUF style mirrors. I can't bring myself to put the car up on jacks and get the work done, because every once in awhile here we get a nice day and I can take it out, and I want to be able to take advantage of that! LOL. I drove it twice last week.

I thought you decided not to go thru with that purchase? Change your mind?

Tifo, just get an extra pair of doors (CF?) and install the mirrors on those.

Hey Anders!
I have my Vitesse MAF Griffin radiator 928 big blacks, 930 rotors, Koni struts, weltmister sway bar, Lindsey dual port waste gate all installed on my old car.
I now have to remove everything and install it on my NEW 87 turbo along with a brand new Vitesse stage 2 turbo and venture delete cycling valve delete and the list goes on and on.

I just hope I don’t screw something up or run out of money..

Wow Rande! What colour is the new car? I really like your white 87. How did things go with the "new" engine?

My list of stuff to install this winter is quite long:

Vitesse S3 kit
maybe new cam
front splitter
SMT6
Apexi AVC-R
Cometic head gasket
Zeitronix
TiAl 38 mm
WG dump tube
Looking for a LeMans wing
New virgin white coolant expansion tank
New belts and rollers.

I am at the turn around point now, no more stuff to take off the car.. But for some reason I feel like putting the stuff back will take forever.

Motor number three did not work out so no more buying motors from so called "engine builders"
I picked up a 2 owner 87 Turbo light siver blue 108k miles body and paint are great stone chips on the front but nothing major appears to be in great shape motor drives smooth lifters are a little loud.
Turbo has no shaft play at all but is leaking some oil out the seals I found oil in both intercooler pipes but none in the J boot. I am in the painfull process right now of upgrading to a the Stage2.

Should have everything completed in two to three weeks....I will bring it by when I am done.
Later...
