New Hatch Seal Caused More Hatch Seperation.....
My hatch was already semi seperated on the drivers side as with almost all 944 I have seen, but after putting on my new hatch seal yesterday the other side has slipped off slightly and the already slipped side is even worse now. What do you guys suggest? How much would it cost to get someone to reglue it, and will it last? Anyone know of anyone reputable in South or North Carolina? And how many of you have tried to do it yourself? I skimmed over the process on clarks garage but would like some input from others.

There is no real "gap". Mainly the frame right by the hinges is sitting on the edge of the glass instead of the glass being inside the frame. The drivers side however is sitting lower on the glass edge then the passenger side.

No I didn't adjust the hatch pins due to the fact that they have never been adjusted in the past and it still had the original seal on it. Even with the new seal on there and I can still push the hatch down after it's closed and feel some play between the pins and latches.

There is one glass shop here in OKC that will reset and reseal the rear hatch glass in the frame. I am going to find out pretty soon as my hatch glass is ever so slowly slipping towards the rear of the car.

Hell, the longer I leave it on the more it separates. Less work for me, it's a win, win baby!
Before long all I'll have to do is lift the glass off the back of the car! hehehe
