Default I did a search but still have a ?

I have a 86 951, added a SFR MBC and Tial WG. I left the CV in place. Should I delete it? Would spool up quicker if I removed it? Thanks

There is no need for the CV with the MBC. Get rid of it. Do you have a boost gauge? If not, that is a necessity.

I do have a boost gauge, an old post said to make sure you MBC has a drain like an Accuboost. Is that true?

The purge (or drain) is refering to the Accuboost as the LBE does not have one.

You don't need to worry about it with the SFR MBC.

Spool up will be much quicker with the CV bypassed. The factory tuning tries to smooth out the transition onto boost, I suppose to try and make it feel more like a 'normal' car, which makes no sense to me. With the MBC and the CV bypassed the boost will hit much harder.

Be forewarned however, that your newfound boost will be addicting and that it will also cause a goofy grin on your face that may be hard to remove before the cop walks up to your door...

Does the venturi delete include the CV delete?

Venturi delete and CV delete are seperate procedures.

However, if you do the venturi delete and your CV is bypassed you can pull the CV, its 2 hard pipes and the hard pipe that runs from the air/oil seperator to the Jboot (or is that the boost pipe...). The venturi delete kits do not include the 3/4" ID hose that's necessary to replace the AOS hard pipe, I just bought some heater hose and a couple of connectors at Autozone.

You can also remove the bracket the CV mounts on, which makes removing the head easier. Just remember to use shorter bolts in place of the ones that held the CV bracket in place. If you keep the CV, the KLR can pull some boost when it detects knock.
