yeah that's generally what I'll do. Parking brake, let weight settle, then slip into gear, so there isn't pressure on the drivetrain while it's just sitting there.

I just get this image in my head that it's bad to have the rear or front suspension loaded up like that all the time when the car is parked...

On even days park the nose up and on odd days down...Just my simple logic.Cheers.

Surely the pressure on the drive train when parked is nothing compared to downshifting at high revs, and hitting boost and all the power going through it.

right but you don't hit high boost for 10 hours at a time
