Pondering flat spots...
I am sitting here thinking about my car in the garage, and pondering the potential for flat spotting the tires since it is in storage. I can see this happen with the tires directly on the concrete but I have put carpet under the tires. On the coldest day I can't feel that much cold coming through the carpet.
So is it direct contact with the concrete that poses the most problem?
Any opinions?

Nope, the fact that one portion of the tire is flat while the others are rounded. Typically the steel belts take a set from sitting for too long; the cold seems to exacerbate it, though.
Every week or so just roll the car a little to put a new portion of tire in contact w/ the concrete and you should be fine.
