I picked up a dme and a klr out of an 86 this past weekend and the owner said that they had after market chips in them. Do you guys know what kind these are?

Does anyone know what the Steve R, Huntley, and Europroducts chips look like?

Those look exactly like the ones I pulled out from my car before the MAF upgrade. Autothority also gave me the same answer...Anyhow, I wouldn't rely on upgrades with them, but the good thing was Ii did'nt have fuel-cut.

Autothority gave me the same answer as well...But I know for a fact they were Autothority Stage II because that is what the receipt said when I bought them in the early 90's They don't want any liability especially with chips being knocked off right and left.

Not a clue. I believe it was testarosa who found out it was autothority, but I guess they just don't want to claim their old work. There were many cloned chips, they could also be copies of who knows what brand.

So now you know as much now as you did before...and your going to sell them to someone else? What do you plan to claim that these chips are? How do you intend to prove that?

Well I was going from this post. I know the Autothority set that I bought weren't marked with any Autothority label.

All the original Autothority Chips that I have bought, handled, or seen have an APE printed label on them. The first chip was bought for a 944S in '92, and a couple sets of 89TS and 86-87Turbo Stage I and II chip sets in '93 and '94, versions 2.5 and 2.7.
I cant say for certain that chip sets prior to version 2.5 did or did not have printed or hand written labels. But I would not recommend using any version of an APE 944T chip older than version 2.7.
And I would be tentative about claiming a chip with a hand written label is anything other than a copy made by an unknown individual on an eprom burner of an unknown original chip.

That receipt went with the car. Mine were for a 86 944 turbo.
Sorry I can't help you any more. Sell them for $50 bucks and say Buyer Beware. Or run them in your own car and say...see they work!..or look how much these chips cost me!
