Default tial + 15psi chips?

Would using a tial 38mm wastegate and autothority stg2 chips be a bad combo? I notice that the stock WG constantly leaks all the way up to full boost. I assume I will get faster spool up with a better WG. I just dont know if it will be a bad combo. These chips are temporary until I get some other things and upgrade a year or so from now.

The tial is a good upgrade period..nothing bad about just that.
You will run rich with the chips, so no real worry about running lean

Well, the midrange richness of the APE chips wouldnt bother me- but what I would be scared of is the APE chips are mapped for the stock wastegate (which will bleed off boost up top in the rev range) whereas the tial will hold ~15lbs all the way to redline - causing a lean condition.
I ran the same combo for about a year or two with no ill effects, but thats not to say I wasnt thinking about the possibility of a blown headgasket...

Most have show dyno's in here that the APE run a little lean up top.
