Default Downloadable PET from Porsche

Sorry if this has been posted already, but I didn't see anything on the searches I ran.

You can get a PDF of the Porsche parts "Katalog" for our "classic" cars from the Porsche web site. Wahoo, no more scanned in, unsearchable, quasi-legal parts lists. Here's the link. For some reason the post editor truncated the link, so you'll need to cut and paste it in to your browser.

How come it only goes up to 1985 for 944's?

I grabbed "944_2" - the '86-'88 list.

I missed that at first, too. You have to choose "944_2" from the drop down list. Note, too, that all 85/2 and later cars are contained in the file you get. In some sections, you have to scroll down a ways in the right-hand window to get to the parts listing for turbos.

Its about time Porsche did this. It allows us to take the time to get the correct part number we need and thus saves time for Porsche at the parts counter. We can also research possible upgrades from different model years and spend less time at the parts counter. Very smart. I wonder if Porsche is reading rennlist.

I am simulatenously happy and dismayed at this. First, they offer this for purchase on CD, and now its a free download? Gar.

My CD-ROM version of PET would not run on my laptop due to video resolution issues. These work great. Interface is a bit different, but easier to use IMO. Many thanks.

Cool find! Although it was fun to be one of the cool people who had a pet.

Chris,

Thanks for the link!

I decoded the filing system, and posted all the available PDFs. Some cool stuff is there!
