951 vs. 05 GTO
Didn't realize it was a GTO till I got up on him and nthen noticed the 6.0 badge, informing me that it was the new 400hp model.
Well, was a 2nd gear roll on and off the jump he got about a car length, then into 3rd I pulled back even and was pulling on him and then came up on some traffic. In an open road situaiton I think I would have left him.
He was a little closer from when I raced the S281 Saleen about 6 months back that I pulled on; and then never saw him on my way to work again
"For 2005, the GTO receives a new engine -- the 6.0-liter LS2 V8. The new V8 produces 400 horsepower, up from 350, and 395 lb-ft of torque, up from 365. More rumble comes from a new split dual-exhaust system, and new exterior options include two new colors and an available hood scoop."

GURU 18psi chips, stock AFM, LR Super 75, custom 3" cat back.
I would guess I am about 290-300 at the wheels.
I am not sure of the curb weight of the GTO.

LOL, yea, she runs at 18psi all the time.
Well, if I ever get my MAF in there and then can turn boost up at my leisure I sure will
I would have loved to see his reaction if he pulled up on you or ST!!!

I've pulled on a 6.0l GTO also. I was actually pretty suprised how weak they actually seem. Its was pretty even, but I pulled on him at 15psi.They have a ton of power, but they dont really move all that fast. If I remember right, the new Mustangs actually have a faster quarter mile time by a slight margin. It sounded like the GTO's gears have an extramly long throw, so shifting is its weak point.
You'll definatly get him with more road, probably just takes your turbo a little longer to spoil-up

yea, thinking about upgrading my rebuilt WG to a Tial DP as I think mine is bleeding some and making spool up worse.
"GTO 6.0 Curb weight, lbs. 3725" That is probaly a factor also.

There is a model here, made from Chevy specifically for the Middle East. It is called the Chevy Lumina SS, it is a 4-door sedan powered by the C5 (now C6 for new models) engines, don't get me wrong, those cars are dang heavy and come in a 4-speed auto (don't ask, it is region specific).
Whith my car being fully stock, it would be neck and neck up to 160kpr (100mph), then those cars start pully away. Ever since i chipped the car, and run the eManage (boost set at 16-17psi) i can very easily take them down.

Well I pulled on an 06 Rousch stage 1 (no engine mods for the Rousch) It's basically a stock GT. I stayed in 4th, and he downshifted into 3rd, as soon as I hit all 14 PSI lol I was gone. Made him feel bad since he payed 52 g's for it

Yea, I read just yesterday even the Roush stage 2 STILL only makes the same 300hp that the stock GT makes. Just a lot more in body kits and suspension upgrades.
