Can I get $6500 for this car?
It has been almost three years and I have yet to drive my car 3k miles. It's still not done but is a "driving" car that is wickedly quick. I should see the project out, but I don't have the motivation or time.
The issues are:
1. The car has a minor oil leak somewhere, even though the engine was rebuilt.
2. I can not give 100% throttle right now. My boost will go too high and it will run way too rich. I can modulate it with the throttle to 50% and I get about 14lb of boost and a decent a/f ratio. In normal driving/cruising the car runs great with minor adjustments to the ARC2.
3. Instrument lights are in op. I have been told it's most likely a ground wire. To be honest, I haven't even checked the fuse.
4. I can't get any cool air from the HVAC system - just heat. I have been told this is a $5 fix and instructions for the fix are listed on Pelican's website.
5. oil and main warning lights are on because, I have an 86 block in an 88 car and in 88 there was a low oil warning light and in 86 there wasn't. I have my 88 oil pan and was thinking of tapping the 86 pan so I can have the sensor back.
6. Seatbelt light is on. Cut the wires for the warning sensor when I installed the Recaro's.
7. Needs an alignment
8. Center console, glove box door, and radio need to be put back in. (will be in this weekend)
9. Needs cat back exhaust. right now has a crude looking straight pipe after the cat. I wanted to hear what it would sound like w/o a muffler. Sounds great BTW - just needs a better looking set up.
10. Seats need to be installed a bit better.
11. Nose needs to be painted - chipped up
12. Sunroof motor and/or switch need to be replaced. I have both.
13. Headlights stopped coming up. Just happened no clue as to why - should be a simple quick fix.
The good is it's a black 88 w/109k that runs and starts very good now. It's nicely modded (see signature line) and will be extremely fast if someone can get the boost and AF worked out. The car looks good except for the nose which had been repainted in 1989 and is not chipped and has a scratch on it. I had it detailed 2 years ago an I know the paint shines very well. The interior is in great shape, carpet, headliner, dashboard etc... The list of new mechanical parts is very long.. The entire cooling system (rad, pump, hoses etc), head gasket, belts, the clutch have less than 500 miles on them. The car has 109k on it.
Do you think I can get $6500 for this?

Yup, I do think about doing that as well (I'm not going to so nobody PM or e-mail me for parts) but that is just a huge hassle. With the time it takes to part it out I could fix everything, which is what will end up happening if I can't sell. it. I would think the car could sell easily for $5k, am I wrong? But it would make my desicion a lot easier if i could sell it for at least $6k.

Hey Dave - yeah I should, but I won't. There are other issues beyond that. I had some folks e-mail me for photo's so I took it out of the garage today... Of course I had to drive it a bit... I really have it running well right now and it's is super quick at 40 to 50% throttle.
I almost called you Monday to see if you wanted to go indoor racing at Chicago Indoor Racing in Buffalo Grove.

2. I can not give 100% throttle right now. My boost will go too high and it will run way too rich
