No way dude. THAT would be perfexctly understandable! Trading the car for a regular chick?

Good luck on the engagement Me and my fiance have been together for 5.1/2 years and we pretty much called everything off coupla days ago. Funny part is instead of drowning my sorrow in the bottle i got all excited and bought some parts for my S2 life is so weird But anyways, if she's worth it, get the ring

If cars are where you "kept" your money, I'd at least cash in for money to put down on a house or similar investment type rather than pay crazy-retail for diamonds. Jewler's mark-up is absurd.
You are basically selling your Porsche that is worth $10K (for example) and handing over $ 5k (if you're lucky) forthe value of the diamond and another $5k for the jewler to put down on his new porsche.
I learned my lesson. My engagement ring is now on ebay and will likely bring a fraction of what I paid. But, as I say in the listing, I'd rather see it go to a nice couple than sell it to a jewler who will mark it up 300% and sell it to some sap.
When I bought my second Porsche, it was either the car or cash in the bank for a wedding. We had issues to work out so I picked the car. Issues never got worked out...but I still have the car. And, a new woman who's totally understanding of my car sickness.
Good luck in whatever you do with the car or ring.
