Rice? Well if I must say it, I found most current 3" aftermarket exhausts (including the one everyone is raving about) sound ricey, high pitch clatter, this 4" Fabspeed sounds infinitely better.

About a year ago some guy posted his 951 flying by with a V8 growl, like nothing else I've heard on a 2.5l turbo.. I'll try to find and post it, it was a short clip maybe 5 seconds.. ok you guys have no clue what I'm talking about! I'll find it!

Regards,
Chris

Elondooberhead's clip?

My SFR 3" does not sound ricey at all, actually that was one of the reasons I bought it. Dan87951's full 3" car sounds deep and mean as hell.

it actually sounds like the lindsey 4" DT exhaust.someone here uploaded a vid a while back,i think the first to install it.knowing fabspeed its going to cost an arm and a leg.if someone offered 3" flanges for the 944 turbo,i buy em and make my own.(by 3" flange,i mean at the back of the turbo)

Elondooberhead's clip?
That's it. What sort of setup was he running? Sounded like a beast of a V8..

I don't know about you guys but the end of that video was like a copy from a bub rub and lil' liz video about whistler tips. when the notorious bub rubb proceeded to almost fishtail in the cars on the opposite lane and blew through a stop sign while demonstrizatin' the whisizler yo' too funny
vlad.

Just add a big free flowing muffler and it will sound a lot meatier, it will also kill most of the resonance.

Interesting idea. Are there off the shelf options? I noticed that many sports cars have HUGE mufflers, look at the Cayenne for example, it runs the whole width of the car. McLaren F1 and Ferrari Modena also have enormous mufflers..

The video I was refering to earlier is here: http://lilray.com/randy/951.wmv
By far the best sounding 951 I've ever heard.. Sam, thanks for identifying the unknown video!

Regards,
Chris

Here's the thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...hlight=exhaust

Part answer is this: 3" GHL, GHL headers, 46mm Tial Wastegate (from above thread)

I'd be interested to find out what muffler and turbo it's running.. whether the cat's been deleted.. the whole story!

Regards,
Chris

I've never heard of them, is it specifically for a 951 or custom made? I had thought only SFR, LR, and Fabspeed offered 3'' exhaust.
