FYI, ATP(atpturbo.com) makes a version of the GT3071R which bolts right up with K26 flanges. From the research I've done, the GT3071R is an excellent choice for a high powered street car. It is supposed to be good for 450hp and should spool quickly.

The GT3071R is an excellent turbo and can be a very good match for a 2.5l 951.
But as discussed many times before, the KKK inlet flange changes nothing for the 951-situation since nothing else will line up.

I believe its a KKK style exhaust housing, not inlet. Its a standard GT30 inlet, so you'd need silicone adapters on the inlet side, but that isn't a big issue. By picking the K26 turbine housing, you slightly limit your A/R choices, but there are still 2, 0.63 and 0.82.
There might be some throttle body clearance issues with the compressor housing, but I can't forsee any other issues. But I don't know of anyone who's done it, so the first person may be in for a bit of a surprise.

"K24/K26 flanged GT Ball Bearing Turbos!
Audis and Porsches originally powered by Triple K's K24/K26 series can now easily switch to the Garrett GT Ball Bearing line and get spoiled by these quick spooling, high power turbos. We have developed a series of housings to make it possible for you to bolt on anything from the popular 350HP GT28RS to the 500+ HP GT30R with the 600 HP GT35/40R coming very soon), while utilizing the stock exhaust manifold."

but from what I have seen is that the gt30 series does not make any more hp than a t04e unless you use race fuel and boost well above 20. At 18 psi it seems camparable to a t04e (actually lower hp ) and I cant seem to find proof that it spools anyfaster at this boost level. anyone with a gt series - what info can you post
