Default Wide band question

I've just finished installing a testpipe and I'm in the process of installing a Tech Edge wbo2. Will it hurt if the sensor is installed for a few days with no power to it? The car is only run enough to move in and out of the shop in the morning and afternoon. Thanks.

nope won't bother it at all
the heater will burn anything off once it's hooked up.

Thanks! Sounds awful with that bung leaking.

The installation instructions with my WBO2 specifically advised against installing the O2 sensor without power applied, saying it can be damaged. You may be able to get away with it if you drive only short distances.

What I did before I had power wired up was to temporarily install a spark plug in the bung to keep the hole plugged. Don't remember the spark plug type but I got one at my local NAPA store which had threads identical to the WBO2 sensor.
