Ok, the 930 disc is on the left, the "Cup" disc on the right. The band of friction material on the 930 disc is about 1/4" wider than the cup disc.

Jason - would it then be a logical to choose a 930 version in an aftermarket clutch disk as well (ie EZ Lock as suggested by David Floyd)?

Boy Alex, I'd have to defer to the other manufacturer there...I'm sure they'd have some input.

will a high pressure KEP pressure plate accelerate the wear on the crankshaft thrust bearing? and if so how many street mile could one reasonably expect from the thrust bearing?

Only if you do like the previous owners of my car did and stand on the clutch pedal a lot. The stock pressure plate destroyed the thrust surface on the crank as well as the bearing. If you use the clutch properly I doubt there would be an issue.

My vote goes to KEP Stage 2. Even when spongy from being half bled or a dead cylinder its as stiff as stock!

The 930 disk has six springs, the cup has only 4.....

Does this have an advantage or disasvantage? (more springs means better?)

Regarding 6 spring vs. 4 spring clutch plates: It has been said that with 6 springs, there is greater likelihood that a spring will dislodge and jam the works, with expensive consequences.

Can anybody with empirical evidence confirm or deny this?

Hos, it is because of the fact that the 930 is a six cylinder and the 951 is a four.

That was with the 6 little springs on the original clutch I believe. It had 6 little guys and 4 big ones.
