Ive got an AC Delete on my car, using Larry's aluminum bracket. When the AC Delete shroud is installed, the front sway bar hits it. If I rotate the shrould more, theres almost no clearance between it and the frame rail and the alt and engine, and its not a straight run at the duct from the bumper. Is this a known/common issue in general, or does the Porsche delete bracket clear this up?



It doesnt hit the mount, the sway bar itself hits the inlet when I try to mount it.

hm, interesting question. i've got the factory a/c delete and will be installing weltmeister sway bars in a few weeks. i'll post my result if i have a problem at that time. i imagine you could rotate the alternator duct around, couldn't you?

ask M758 - i think he's got weltmeister sway bars and a/c delete. not a turbo, though.

I have tried rotating it yes, but that leaves a tiny gap between the inlet and the frame rail, and another tiny one between the alt itself and the oil pan/block so I dont think it would even be possible to tension the belt.

well,
I have the welt sway bar and the factory A/C Delete. Not an issue at all.
However I don't run the alternator cooling shroud.
