New Owner Looking for Parts and Advice (Aluminum Guiding Arm)
I bought my first Porsche, a 1989 951, and am looking for a good network of parts, and advise. I am amazed at the amount of knowledge on the Rennlist forum, and this makes me feel more at ease about moving up to a Porsche. ( I previously owned 5 different modified VW's).
I bought the 951 in great shape, but I had a little mishap at my first driver's event. I am in need of a driver's side rear guiding arm (trailing). I spun off the track and encountered some uneven ground, which cracked the cast aluminum giuding arm half way around the wheel hub.
Can anybody point me in a good direction to find a guiding arm, or anybody parting out a 951?
Also, I am looking for a good body shop in the Detroit area. I want this car to look great for next summer.

Thank you very much for replying. I can pick it up anywhere. I live on the East side, so Flint is a little closer. What would be best for you?
How much would you like for the guiding arm? What vehicle is the donor? Since I am new to Porsche I do not know what is interchangeable with what (I know that the early cars have a stamped / tubular steel arm and turbo cars have cast aluminum). I have a 1989 951 which has the M030 suspension. Would I have to change the bushings and bearings on this part to fit my car? I just would like to know what to expect.

it is an 87 and has the aluminum ones. Best would be to get it in Lansing this weekend but I could bring it back to Flint. Call me to work ouit details 520-977-2050. I do have class tonight until 8:00 but anytime after that is ok.
