What a PITA removing the door panel is!
On the 951S. I don't think Porsche used enough screws to hold the damn thing on! Felt like I took out twenty billion screws, then, the f-er still wouldn't come off, so I found another 3 screws under the armrest that I had to take off.
The good news is the plastic central locking arm wasn't broken, it'd just fallen off the ball. Snapped it back on and that was fixxed. The upper speaker was a little more touchy, turns out the mirror control harness is competing for space with the speaker harness, so I had to play around a bit with shoving things around to finally get that taken care of.
Then put the twenty billion screws back in there. Doh!

just a note. if you lock the door manually, as in by hand from the inside. it would be a wheek tops before it pops off again Spend the $26 FOR THE replacement part. worth the trouble and frustration in snapping it back on again.

once the little ball snaps out of the plactic cup once the cup becomes slightly larger (and probably brittle). I am betting you will perform this door removal procedure again within one month,

Come on guys. It's not that bad. Ever changed tho volateg regulater, of even better, the clutch.
It's just tedious. If you have large fingers it's REALLY tedious. For those that are going to replace door handles, or the dogbone part of the lock, Try conecting the dog bone before attaching the white plactic piece on top. I found it much easier. If anyone does this soon and needs pics, email or pm me.
