Default OT: Rain SUCKS

I know this is off 951 topic, but I figured you guys would feel bad for me.

I had a nice flight over to the fatherland (ok as nice as a long ride in an airplane can be). I had an afternoon to screw around and then to bed.

On Monday I had to make about a 350 km drive from Hamburg to Recklinghausen and then back (so 700km). Anyways, I have a fairly decent car being a E200 CDI. Its much quicker and faster than I had imagined.

Well, on my way there I had a little section of the A1 that was clear and I breifly got above 200km/h (I maybe had a around 1 to2 km free).

Then the damn rain started .

So a 350km drive was kept to 120-140kmh due to rain.

Then on the way back, I had about 100km with roads that were drying but at night. I had to keep speeds in the 150-180 range. Some parts, due to heavy rain, traffic, and darkenss were down at 100kmh.

So anyways, I get a decent car, and rain has to slow my happy butt down.

Oh well, I can only hope for good weather on Wednesday (its suppossed to be 15-17C and dry) and friday (no weather report yet) for when I have to make another drive south and then back to Hmaburg. Only problem is with this trip, I have passengers so I don;t know if they will like me driving over 200....

Well,

Since it is a car for work, its hard to convince them I need a real car to rent. The reason for the e-class is that I have to pick-up two surgeons tomarrow. We are going to more surgeries and must drive a few hundred km. Hard to put these guys in the back of a 2+2....

Too bad you couldn't take a couple days for yourself, do some sight seeing, like Stuttgart, Nurburgring, Hockenheimring, you get the idea?!
