Default Turbo and TurboS KLR's whats the difference?

Anyone know the difference between the regular Turbo KLR part 951.618.113.02, and the TurboS KLR 951.618.113.09. I have a bad KLR on my TurboS and am having a tough time finding one. I can get regular ones pretty easily. I obviously have the 2227355531 chip for a TurboS, can I put this in an .02 box and get a.09 or is there more to it?

You should be able to plug your turbo S chip into the earlier KLR unit. I believe the only functional difference is the EPROM chip itself.

I have used 88 TS DME and KLR boxes with the 28 pin stock 88 turbo DME chip in my 87 Turbo and I have used my 87 DME and KLR boxes with Escort/Cup chips (24pin) in my 89.

So far nothing has exploded....
