Default Greddy Profec-b or Profec-S?

What's the difference between these two? Are they basically the same, with the S being a newer iteration without manual *****? Which should I get?

I'm kinda attracted by the simplicity of the profec-b...

The type s sounds simplified, next generation and claims a bigger solonoid.

New here, but not to these Boost controllers. let me tell you how Crappy the Profec B is with the small solenoid. Stinks! Rarely keeps boost constant. Works fine for a little while then starts messing up. A little bit of heat will screw up the setting . (Solenoid or wiring) They went back to the larger solenoid for a reason. Go with the newer one.

(I work at a performance shop in Houston by the way.)

If Greddy is your desicion, go with the spec II. Additional things it has is solenoid sensitivity, alarms, safety boost setting, plus a cleaner look.

I installed the Type S on a customer car and it worked very well. I like that it is so simple and straight forward to set.

never had a problem with my profec B. Came with the car and works flawlessly. Never have to think about it. Set and forget.

I also have the Type S and I am very pleased with the unit. Very simple to use and you can purchase it much cheaper on ebay brand new.

Edit: Last year it cost 250. This year the best price is 270. Good Luck
