High oil pressure - revisiting
Hey guys, finally got back to bmy car. I am in the middle of aligning the cooler housing. Its loose, alignment tool is in. I'm going to tighten it up, re-assemble the car today and start it. I'm hoping real bad that this fixes, otherwise I'l lost.
Background:
blown 2 oil filter gaskets
gauge pegs
sometimes gauge is ok, rarely
gauge moves a lot and pegs, looks electric
brand new sending unit
tested 3 different OPRV's
Any other ideas short of pulling the motor? Turbo oil lines? you guys think my pressure will be good after this job? Thanks.

My catch can STILL sits on my desk. My compression numbers are 150, 155, 150, 150 on an engine that was in between cold and warm... lukewarm? haha.
On a side note, the crank case is not presurized, so if it is being pressurized by bad rings, it would probably find its way out by the PCV valve (or in our case, the OAS) if not, the oil pan gasket would be a good escape route.
