Regards,
You know it Scott!! We have an agreement that I can not put any more money towards the car for a while, so hopefully I don't break anything!!

I wouldn't even been able to get the hard pipes from you if we didn't work out the trade!! I am looking forward to getting them as my stock pipe keeps blowing off at anything over 20 psi. . .

If there was a BS delete kit for Rennlist, you would be the first one to go!

. . .from 1600 rpms in 3rd? Um no, it is not quite like that. In 4th gear, starting at 2k rpms and flooring it, I will get 17psi at just under 3k rpms.

Well, I went through each frame and it held 10.5psi for 3 frames.

Really?? Wow!! I will have to go through it frame by frame myself.

I had someone PM me and ask why when I go to the tach shot the factory boost gauge only shows 3-4 PSI. I would imagine that is because of how slow the factory gauge is to react. If (at least on my car) you watch your aftermarket gauge and your factory gauge, there is like a 1-2 second delay in the factory gauge compared to the aftermarket one. Just some food for thought. . .

Yes, that would be why I use a 968 guage cluster - so I am not not tempted to look at that silly, useless thing.
You guys wouldn't believe how high your tachs read, either.

So when we see 15 psi at 2350 rpm in a 3-litre 8V we have here it's actually even earlier than that..? How much are the tachs off..? Got an estimate?

Skunk, I can tell you exactly what mine was out. I took it out and ave it to a local shop and we tested it. Up to 4,000 rpm it was very accurate, above that it started to waver, at 6500 is was overestimating by 400rpm.

Nz - no kidding!!!!! That is exactly the difference between my zeitroinix (and every dyno) and my tach at 6500.
That's the reason I lifted so early on my last dyno run, looking at that piece of **** instead of my laptop.

Ok...so the tach needle only goes ballistic at 4k+ rpms. Thanks.
