Thanks for the comments guys!!

The gauge is clocked that way because the light popped out of it and dropped down. It is a temporary fix to get light into the gauge. The a-pillar is kind of a pain to pull off, so this works until I can get to it.

The improvment over the old stage 2 is simply unbielevable. I can't wait to do a little more fine tuning, get some race fuel in there, and crank the boost up to 24 PSI. Then I will get some REAL videos!!

Ted: Go and enjoy the car. And then have Special Tool tune that thing for you and see what it can do. Do I hear the word dyno soon...?

You know it buddy! I am so tempted to head to the local dyno here, but if ST found out I went to the dyno without him, he would kill me.

Maybe John needs to start issuing version numbering, what are we up to now, stage 2 evolution III ?
thanks for sharing
There was the old Stage 2, which was discontinued around Sep last year.
There is only one Stage 2 today, is the same that has been used Nov-Dec last year. No versions associated with it..

All of Vitesse turbos, not just Stage 2, are totally different now from last year. More efficient compressors, faster spooling and better oil management.

The Stage 2 is VERY fast spooling, yet very easy to modulate. It recovers nicely (between shifts)..

To answer a few questions:

1. the mods are Vitesse stage 2 kit, sfr full 3" exhaust turbo back, JME CS-19 camshaft

2. the boost gauge is tied into the vac line that comes into the KLR

Yes, John the throttle is very easy to modulate under boost, it feels like a damn NA!! This thing is going to be very smooth and easy to drive on the track.

Ted,
Stop mis-informing people, you claimed 6psi on idle when revving. All i see is well beyond that

I don't know....something sounds fishy to me even though I praised him before. Maybe he's got an air compressor under the hood and a button in the cockpit so he can blow massive air into the turbo? That thing just spins waaaay to fast!

Well, I worked up the brass to rev it a little higher!

I am cordially inviting anyone to come for a ride in this car. The video's don't do the car justice. Seriously. The turbo, cam and exhaust are working so well with each other. I am very satisfied!!

It is the Evolution Motorsports valve. You should hear it at over 20 psi under load!

Mike, I will be sure to give you a ring the next time I pass through, we sure need to meet up again.

Hosrom, over there who cares about efficiency? The gas in only like $ .50 per gallon!!

I am going to visit Scott Gomes tomorrow, schedule permitting, so I can get my 3 liter project together once and for all.... then maybe we'll get to see what STAGE 5 can do.....
