Default How to fix this?

Found out why my left headlight wasnt popping up all the way. Will JB Weld fix this? Or what is my best course of action? To remove the whole assembly, you have to remove the fender *ghey*

You dont have to remove the fender. You can try JB Welding it, if it doesnt work you'll have to buy a new one anyway from someone parting a car out.

I got a hard time believing that JB will work there is a fair amount of tension on the part
I believe you can get the part for 20 bucks all day long ... Its a head light swivel
Ask me how I know :-)
Good luck Erik

only $3.65 for JB weld. it worked just fine this morning; we shall see how long it lasts. JB weld is supposed to be ~4000 psi. if this holds for a while, JB weld has become my new best friend. if not, ill hit you up, scott.

Mine broke exactly the same as that, but on the other side on my 86, so I ordered a new set.

As far as replacing it goes, you need to reach up inside the fender, and remove the 3 bolts that hold the outside bracket on, or at least loosen them, it's easier if you don't have to remove them. Then twist the headlight enough to get the old piece out, and slip the new bracket into the end of the rod. All in all, not too difficult. It's only if you have to remove it, and there has been body work done on the car that it gets tricky (like in my case).
