Default 944 Temperature Gauge Sensor Drain Plug - Aftermath

Hi all,

Well, the drain plug "group buy" I started about 6 weeks ago has now officially ended. In total, I made 67 of these things (and sent out 2 threaded plugs without sender). You guys are awesome. Everyone who asked for one, either followed through and paid, or notified me early that they had changed their mind. This saved me a lot of hassle and made it all go smoothly. The last couple are being shipped this week. Including USA and Canada, I shipped these things to 7 countries !

I am keeping a "waiting list" if there were a few people missed. I can make some more, but only 5-10. PM me if you are interested. (Wow, I can't believe I just sad that )

/Brad

Thanks Brad, haven't had a chance to do the install yet - what kind of heat proof wiring is everyone using for this btw?

I'm waiting until it's time to drop the oil to fit mine - I'll put a bigger cooler on at the same time.

Thanks for making it though, looking forward to getting it in there.

Bard, just wanted to thank you again for the nicely done drain plug.

One of things that amazed me was how quicky the plug arrived in the mail. It was sent out thursday and arrived in my box saturday morning. Thats from Cali to Long Island NY in two days!

Ill finally be able to get it in when i change the oil this week. Ive never been so excited about an oil change before!

So VDO is the way to go? Would like something to match up with my HKS boost gauge, but I`ll guess I`ll have to stick with the VDO. Is it clear white bright the light in the VDO gauges?

Its very similar to the stock gauge lighting (though not as bad in terms of dimness obviously). They also come with a red and green bulb condom, which basicalyl changes the color of the light based on your preference.

Hey, how else should i describe that thing....to tell you the truth i had no idea what the hell they were for until i saw my buddies autometer boost gauge lit up red.

I have FlamingEye's LED dash gauges in red...the red condom on the bulb and it matches the gauges perfectly. However i lost one of the red covers and used a green one on my vacuum gauge instead. Its very 'Christmas-ey'.
