I pulled the IC pipes and there was not that much oil in the throttle body. Maybe 1/3 of a teaspoon.

I forget...if you have bad compression in one more more cylinders, and putting oil in the chamber helps...does that definitely mean bad rings?

But since all adding oil does is seal the cylinder ring better...if your compression goes way up wouldn't that.....(brace for impact)....definitely...mean a bad cylinder ring?

...whereas if the compression is still bad after adding oil, would most likely not be a cylinder ring, but be a bad valve seal, etc?

I have another question. The car is off the road and in my garage. Since its xmas time I think its time to get me an air compressor and leakdown tester. When doing the test does each cylinder have to be at tdc. I am assuming it does otherwise won't any pressure leak past the valves? If so how do you detrermine tdc for every cylinder. Doesn't the timing mark on the flywheel viewed from the top rear of the motor indicate tdc for #1?

Oh yeah... This is done on a warmed up (operating temp) engine, right?
