Wahoo!! It passed with flying colors! Lucky the girl didn't do a visual, or she would have seen my silver painted Bursch test-pipe where the cat should be. I had a BS story prepared about how my muffler was actually a high-tech cat/muffler combo made especially for racing Porsches. Maybe I'll have to use it in two years when the next test is due.
FWIW, I ran a bottle of emissions test fuel treatment thru the prior tank of gas, and used Chevron 92 octane for the test.

Yeah, I had that one in my back pocket as well. But this girl was 19-20 tops and had never before seen a 951. I can easily envision her saying, "Uhhh, OK."

Since when did Oregon even start doing emissions tests? I saw some of the biggest POS vehicles I've ever laid eyes on when I was up there. They all payin' the inspections stations off or what?

I'm rather new here, but it's required only in the Portland area, I think.
Yes, the many tree-huggers here do indeed love their POS Subaru's, especially driving them in the left lane below the speed limit, doing their little part to protect the environment thru speed regulation.
BTW, I had a crisp hundy on hand just in case that's how it was done.
