Here, I'll make you feel better before everyone attacks. A couple of months ago I ran into a new srt-4 on a long, straight road with absolutely no side streets or driveways. So he pulls up next to me going about 45. No cars in sight anywhere, speed limit 65. So we take off at the same time and he slowly pulled on me until we let off. I should have probably stayed in forth gear till redline but either way he stayed a couple of car lengths ahead.

My 86' has Vitesse chips, manually adjusted to 16 psi, Evo diverter, Tial 38, adjust FPR, and Borla exhaust.

I will take any flaming deemed necessary.

yeah those little srt-4's are fast little cars! I'm sure its pretty easy to make 300+ fwhp with those bitchs. I got my friend who's dad has a 97' SVT cobra to shut up when he realized that a neon is almost the same speed as his dads car, 0-60 and 1/4 mile!

Well crap. Keep in mind there are plenty of motor heads dabbling in crazy $hit out there.

One evening coming back from LaJolla a newer plastimold Malibu zipped past and for the next 10 miles I could not get a solid upperhand. Yeah it sucks, but they are very few and far between.

Flames......everyone knows 80 is highway cruising speed around here, your just merging into traffic.

You would hope aerodynamics would help our cars, but it just isn't enough. I'm pretty sure the one I ran into wasn't stock, probably had a couple of easy mods. It did however sound like a Camaro SS at WOT, impressive.

Yea, we had one show up for the dyno one day, it put down some mad horsepower to the wheels, i would have to go look for the exact number, but it was well over 300.

The car I raced was stock, because it was brand new, no license plate at all it had the DMV sticker on the windshield. I am getting rid of my car this is it for me.

I just checked -- 2970lb with a 2.4l turbo (stock: 215hp, 245ft-lb). Similar numbers to the 951 in stock form. I wonder how those things handle...

At least it only took Chrysler 20 years to do what Porsche did in the 80's...

Let's see how many forums live in 20 years for the Neon if there are any still screwed together....
