Where is the controller located? Once the clicking starts on my 951 it's followed by full heat a few seconds later. The clips holding the arms are good. A/C works but once the heat comes on it's overpowered. After a while it might go back to normal, at which time I once again get cold air but after a random period of time it starts blowing hot again. I can hear clicking from the passenger footwell if the radio is off.

Yea, it is hot!!
I always thought the clicking was the ac compressor being enganged and disengaged. Which I still think it is. Just like the thermostate on your home AC.

Ok so now my AC only works on setting 4. It feels like the compressor running on the other settings but nothing comes out. I tryed moving the temp gage like someone suggested but its not working anymore. It worked last time when it was clicking now i dont get any clicking at all. I just hope setting #4 doesnt go out too.

I would say that is the setting **** connections.
As you rotate the **** to each setting, it is hitting different connectors on the back.

Guys,
Search for a thread called "Uncontrollable heat" and you will get links to pictures and some of the parts that you are talking about. I am suffering with this problem as well.
Good luck

It is kinda wierd to post a problem, and then find out 5 other guys have the same issue at the same time.

I've had this problem with my car ever since I bought it (6+ years). I believe the clicking (at least on my car) is too fast for it to be a thermostat clicking on/off for the compressor. However, I guess anything's possible.
In my situation, it seems to occur more when I turn the temp. control from full cold towards the warm side. Turning it back to full cold typically causes the clicking to stop.
I'd love to get mine fixed. When I used to drive the car daily, it would drive me insane.
