Default Haltech ECU

Hello
where can I get infos and learn more about the differences between the E6, E6s, E6H, E6M, E6K?
Haltech it self do not has any older manuals for the older ECUs

Thanks

Kons... good luck trying to find ANYTHING from the company itself. Also, don't try getting "customer service" from them. And if you are planning on buying a system, run away... fast. The interface is horrible to boot!

If you already have it... I hope someone here can help you out. Good luck!

no I do not have one but I found one cheap for sale and I wanted to play with it.
first I would try to make it run on my grascutter ;-) if this is succesfull then I would try it on my wifes car.
and if this is ok then on a Porsche but not on my 3 L ;-)

Hahaha, I like the progression! I just wanted to point out that the interface for it is a VERY old school DOS-based setup.

Have fun, though. I'd love to get any programable ECU to toy with on the bimmer.

I ran a haltech and they are a PIA. Save some $ and buy a tec III. They are so easy to tune its not funny. Very quick. With a haltech you have multiple adjustment points for each rpm range. It seems I figured one time you had to adjust around bars to adjust on an older haltech just for fuel. Everytime you change some little thing like fuel pressure, you had a lot of adjusting to do.

A tec III with the latest software has a data feedback loop so you can run a wideband o2, set your o2 where you want it and the software will remap your fuel maps base on a datalog.

Even just doing a manual adjustment is a lot easier too.

Sorry, that should read....

It seems I figured one time you had to adjust around 200 bars to adjust on an older haltech just for fuel.

The DTA fast is more value for the money but also more expensive. about twice the price of a used haltech.
It is as good or better than a M48 pro but you do not have to pay to "open" the options as in the Motec.
Motec also use DOS but is quite easy to use it
