I wouldn't go over 16 psi if your car is otherwise stock, assuming you have a boost controller.

You will not get more boost without restricting air going to the CV. You need to install that banjo bolt. It should take 5 minutes. The banjo bolt is in the black pipe that goes out of the turbo and into the intercooler. Just swap them out.

The autothority chips are designed for a different banjo bolt, but even with that I seem to remember seeing somewhere that they really weren't designed for any more than 12psi.

I know it won't help much since you already installed them, but I was not very impressed at all with the Autothority stage II chips that came with my car. Going from them to Guru, then Vitesse chips saw at least a 53rwhp increase. Granted that's on a Turbo S, but I still think you'd see a very nice gain even on a regular turbo going to Vitesse over the Autothority chips.

Do I need to jack the car up? Is the turbo on the driver or passenger side of the car? Sorry for the 50 ?'s, but I can not find the bolt and this engine is a complete cluster..

It's on the intercooler pipe that comes from the turbo. Faces the rear of the engine bay. It looks like a bolt going into the intercooler pipe, with a hose coming off it. Very easy to swap out.

No need to jack the car up, just open the hood

No jacking, no hassle... Just uncrew the circled banjo bolt (don't drop the copper washers) and reinstall the APE banjo bolt (with old washers).

be sure not to bypass the cycling valve or install a boost controller with the autothority chips, they are designed to be installed in a stock car

Just curious, but why not install a boost controller? What if you set it to whatever boost level you were making with the autothority banjo bolt and factory CV setup, would anything bad happen?...

I have these same chips in my car. I haven't driven or riden in any other cars with different chips, but I am definately thinking of switching to vitesse. I've heard he is one of the best for custom chips. where is he located?

(P.S.- sorry I havent posted in so long, I'm finally settled down in Iraq and have internet access where I am! )
