Ryan, When you find a car around these parts give me a call and we'll roll up in a 951, then we'll see who has the upper hand. BTW, I have a real good eye for these cars!

You're going to spend 10k on a good car, no matter what. Buy it cheap and then restoration/maintenance or buy a good one at market price. I've got about $13k in mine now, paid $8500 for it. And this was an extremely nice car, just lots of stuff to do to make it a reliable daily driver.
My advice? Don't worry about how far away it is and STAY AWAY from local lots and autotrader. Rennlist is a great source for a good car maintained by an enthusiast - top criteria in my book. Find the right car, pay for a PPI, buy a cheap 1-way flight, get AAA, and make an adventure out of it. I bought mine from San Antonio, flew out for a hundred bucks and drove home to Atlanta. Great trip.

My search is at the end
97K miles
$6,700 or so
PPI turned out very well except theres no records on the car and Im going to get a timing belt job done just in case. Also Im going to see if a Pcar dealership can pull up any service info on the car.
So anyway, now Im just waiting on the bank. I just wanted to say Finally!!!!!!
