Idle is fne, even without an ISV . I have a Link standalone though... A wider spray pattern = more atomisaton = Delphi better. The Siemens are certainly adequate, but the wider pattern is preferrable.

Good question! I started off using stock ignition maps, now I’m using Weltmiester ignition maps, which look a little more aggressive. My technique thus far has been to listen for knock with my ears, and since I haven’t heard any yet then I must be ok right? Yeah I know, tuning the timing is very important. I haven’t yet decided how I’m going to go about it. I’m all ears if someone has some ideas though.

John, I am using a Electromotive TEC2 Stand Alone Engine Management System with WinTec software. This system has a map sensor and wasted spark with the injectors running true sequential. I do not have a Idle Control Motor and the software is designed to run with it more or less, so my idle when cold hunts around. But when warm it is solid. I am still tuning with it actually, more tweaking I guess.
