mroberts, I dont have an auto respond and last I checked Andy's car was a STREET car, not a Drag only car. My friend runs nitrous on his Chevelle, but it's a non street legal, DRAG ONLY, sub 9 second car. So that's ok in my book.

You seem like the pot calling the kettle black to me.

i still think nitrous is ludicrous for street applications.

by the way, i must make a point - it is nitrous oxide, not NAWWWWWS.

unless youre a ghey ricer.

I say NOS because its the Holley branded product I have been offered... i.e. NOS.

Yeah I dunno.. I have never used nitrous.. the 9 second street legal camaro I tune has it..

its fast as ballz, I have been in the car on an NA pass.. and on the dyno with the spray on.. but never a full blown nitous pass..

its good stuff.. just not my style..

it really all comes down to how much drag/street racing you do..

it wont be much help at a road course/autoX, i am pretty sure its illegal at most road courses anyway.

Plus I have no self control, I can admit that. i would be "trying" to run a 400 shot by the end of the week

No, no, no. This is incorrect. He clearly says "Nawwws" in the movie.

I have a mustang set up to run a 200-400 adjustable shot of nitrous, never had a chance to use it yet though still have to sort out the chassis bracing and some wiring.

If it is used in a purely "spooling aid" mannor, like he already said, at very low rpms, before the turbo even kicks in and only a 25-50 shot, I don;t see any issue with motor integrity. There is almost no load on the motor at 3K and below and no/low boost levels.

BUT, to be truley safe, just run water intection

spare tire well, unless your battery is there already.

I think the cooling effect alone would make it worthwhile to use nitrous. I'm a bit more conservative and would probably go with alcohol or water injection first.

good luck.

My battery is in the stock cubby in the rear... my water injection project will be finished in 2 weeks, just sorting out nozzle sizes at the moment.

So do all you guys refer to non Band-Aid products by their own product name? Or when you buy non Kleenex brand snotrags, do you refer to them by their own brand name? NOS is the big brand name, hence the generic term. Just like every snotrag can be/is referred to as a Kleenex, just like every kid knows the phrase Band-Aid for when he gets a boo-boo.
