What is a LSD tranmission out of an '87 951 worth?

Matt, your pic of "Crush" looks just like my stone gray 87T after being pushed into a berm during a race a couple weeks ago.

Rotate the stub axle: if the opposite stub axle rotates in the same direction its LSD, if the opposite stub axle rotates in the opposite direction its a non LSD.

As for the point about cost vs benefit of the LSD, if you've spent big bucks on HP/suspension mods for a turbo track/DE car, then a lot of it is going to waste without an LSD helping to maintain traction in the corners so $1500 for an LSD is then very good value.

This test is not foolproof and will not work on gear-based (Torsen) LSDs like the Quaife. It is accurate for clutch-type LSDs.
