RWHP of stock 951 ?
Hi guys, I've got my eye on an 86 951 that is bone stock and Im just curious what it will throw down. I've been browsing the forums a little bit and have known about this forum for a while but hadnt joined until yesterday. Anyhow, any dyno sheets, etc would be nice.
I actually test drove a callaway 951 yesterday too. I think the owner is a member of this board. If so (check your email), anyhow it felt a little on the slow side I know it was running only 11psi boost but still....that didnt feel like 280hp at the flywheel as claimed
Also, with stock 951s, when do you feel a surge of power? Do you at all? It seemed with the callaway it took until the end of its pwoerband to start having fun then it was time to shift gears which made the power band very very narrow.
And last, what is the stock psi pressure?
Thanks for any info

no, the boost enhancer just rolls the boost on sooner.
with 217 flywheel hp stock, and 12% tranny losses, that's about 191 hp. 12% is considered the standard loss rating for our transmissions.

What you actually drove was a 944 with a Callaway turbo system OR a 951, there was never a Callaway 951. The Callaway 944 I drove some years ago was not very impressive, I would rather have ALL the goodies that are on the 951 anyway.
