Unhappy Blown Fuel Pump Fuse

Looking for how I can diagnose what caused this fuse to blow. Car just came back from being rebuilt and the shop is on vacation till Thursday. Thanks.

Official Porsche Secret (undocumented!) –

The fuse labeled ‘Fuel Pump / Sender’ is also the fuse to the O2 sensor heater….

Look for your O2 sensor lines to be melted to the exhaust system somewhere – not that uncommon after a rebuild. Routing the O2 sensor wires can be a little tricky….

YES!!! Check your O2 wires. One way to do a quick check of this is pull the plug for the O2 sensor and test it. Then you can tell if the wire to the actually O2 sensor is good or not.

Chris, thanks for the info. I just looked under the hood and the O2 wire was touching the side of the turbo. Apparently not the first time, because the wire has been spliced together, evidence of this is the electrical tape rapped around it...and this one is new.
