I owe you guys an apology because not only should I not have replied the way I did, I should not have replied at all until I had cooled off some.

The deal is, I had just finished having a rather heated argument with my step-son about water chemistry, basic crystalline strictures, and some other common scientific stuff, all of which I have a rather extensive backround in, and I was basically told that basic scientific method was totally wrong, and that as a result science has lied to us and the "pyramid heads" or "New Agers" have all of the answers.

This is coming from a 33 year old "man" who never took any science classes in high school, and who believes literally EVERYTHING he reads on the internet.

Need less to say I was not in an appropriate frame of mind when I sent that reply, and for that I sincerely and deeply apologize.

BTW: Spelling has ALWAYS been my weak point, sorry I didn't hit SpellCheck before I hit send.

AH Fageddaboutit. As many times as you help people out around here, I think you get a free pass on this one. Save the apology for sometime if you actually did something nasty. Nice of ya though.

okay back to regualr scheduled babbling... Andy, that link is interesting. So how hot does our fuel actually get? You tend to be the guy with a fist full of thermomators and guages, how about checking it out, and letting me know. I have not only the systematic heating, but I also live in Hell...I mean Florida in August, and my engine bay gets HOT!

This is the reason I'm following the H20 injection stuff so closely.

IIRC, the A/C is run constantly in some AMG's to keep the gas in the tank cool...

at WOT the A/C is disengaged and you get the benefit of chilled fuel...

I dont know how hot it gets, but it would be good to find out... its likely several measures would need to be taken to make a big difference, ie DEI line reflector wrap, the fuel cooler, and possibly a heatsink on the rail (one of my current projects dont tell anyone) etc.

Interesting post Adrial...
