Talking Vitesse Happy Customer!!!!

I just wanted to take a couple of minutes and tell everyone with my experience with John and Vitesse company in general. I bought a MAF from someone from here but needed chips to match it, so I e-mailed John about it. Not only was John FAST at e-mailing me back, but was very willing to help me in any and every way to get my car running. Since I bought the MAF/SMT-6 from someone on here, all he had to do was give me the chip info, but instead he went out of is way to help me get the MAF installed plus the SMT-6 installed. We traded over 30 e-mails back and forth within a 12 day period to get everything to work together, that is how fast he was. After I get everything together, I take the car out and notice that after doing a full power run and just pushing the clutch in without any gas, the car would die. So I e-mailed him about it after checking my vacuum lines on everything. After I e-mailed him I went to check ALL the lines on the car. Found that the coolant line between the two reducers for turbo and manifold was lose, from me putting the intercooler pipe back on. I fixed that and ran the car, runs fine. I come inside to tell John and he already sent me two e-mails of what to check, one of which was the TPS which is what was wrong. If anyone is thinking of doing business with John, do it because his customer service is just wonderful.

Now, the car now with everything I have on it. WOW!!! My car had the Guru chip set before and built full boost (15psi) at 3,400 RPM, now I get the full boost at 3,000 RPM - 2,900 RPM!! I can't believe it, at least 400RPM sooner in the car. With my Guru chips I had a good mid range but upper was nothing special but now my upper range seems to be MUCH stronger. Want to dyno the car now and see what power it is putting down.

Mike, Thank you for the kind words. Glad you are a happy customer..

edit: And thank you for the info on the spoolup. Many ask me about using the MAF with the stock turbo, now they have an answer...

John's the best!!
Those that complain his products are to expensive have no idea what a bargan they are when you take into consideration the support he provides.
Plus they really do work as advertised, or better.

If it ever becomes biologically possible, I would want to have John's babies.

So, now I have another problem, my gas guage just seems to go down and down!! The sound the MAF makes when on full boost is awesome!! After being able to get the car on the highway some at WOT is really fun and exciting! It makes quite a bit more power from 4,000RPM and up. Now I just need to get the SMT-6 installed here and fine tune it to my car.

John and his products are awesome. He has been huge help since I purchased a MAF and Injectors from him a few months back, can't wail to get the SMT6 and wide band. He always answers my emails, super quick and even provided Tech support while I was at the track, with a bad tank of gas. I just hope that when I do business with someone, I can provide the same level of service that John provides to his customers.

Encouraging to hear that the Vitesse MAF made a noticable spoolup difference on a k26. How did the fitment go with the Vitesse J-pipe & reducer for the k26, i remember someone posting some initial difficulties getting it to fit. Did you need to make much ajustment with the piggyback or were the chips right on the money.

Hally, Mike was having issues with the reducer, but got it to fit with some brute force.

HA, yea, I am just dumb sometimes with the reducer! If fits on there, just have to wiggle it on there and make sure the clamp is around it to tighten up, that is pretty much it.
The spool is just amazing in feel! The chips are RIGHT on. John told me to hook up the piggy back and data log some so I hooked it up and have yet to learn how to actually data log because I only had one small trip in the car before someone ran a stop sign into me!
