Default Misfire/backfire??

I am getting a misfire/backfire about 4-5K rpm and seems more so in the higher gears and NOT boost dependant.

I had this happen before and just needed new cables. Got new cables now (BERU) and plugs are fairly new (NGK). However cap and rotor are a few years old.

AND, this first happened last night after a couple "hard" runs, i.e. got a little deep into the revs once or twice, but nothing major.

Any ideas???

FOUND IT!!

It was my new/used BERU wires. When out and let it run in the dark and looked like a lightning storm going thorugh the wires.
