Glad you like the video, Tony. Mosport is a fabulous track, and one of my favorites.

My car is an '88 turbo S I run in E class. I placed 4th in class in that race. Fastest time was 1:40

My suspension is the Bilstein turbo cup setup, and I'm still a cheapskate running 16" rubber. Engine is stock, but has been freshened up.

Nice car, and great driving Van. Mines an E car as well, although it carries a LOT of ballast for 944Cup. Base race weight [inc driver] is 3250# plus 120# of podium weight.

Nothing wrong with 16" wheels, although guys like Karl Poetl run 18s with enormous widths. I'm not sure that there is a great advantage in uber wides on our cars at stock HP, especially on fast layouts like Mosport where the drag is a real factor.

Hope to see you on the track some day. The final Cup series race is at Watkins Glen in October with EMRA.

Thanks for the link. You guys really deliver a beautifully prepared car. Anyone in the Carolinas area who does not know these guys should check out http://www.eurowerks.us/ . Beautiful work, and careful preparation.

Andy's quote about Sunday's race was a hoot: "was pushing as hard as I could to take advantage of the 11E car's off in T1 at the start. " Truth is I was pushed off [no contact] by some enthusiastic driving buy the guy with the inside line at T2. Got two wheels in the mud, kept it going straight, but watched while the field streamed past. Dropped from second row to rejoin beside the guy that qualified 30th!! Managed to claw my way back, but it was pure grind the whole way.

Randerski,

Same enthusiastic driver that put tony off put me two wheels in the grass track right (no contact) to avoid him at T1 - and then spun himself off at hogpen. I spun (Blue #111) trying to avoid him. I'll have to buy you a cold one next time we're at the track. Thanks for a good dodge and saving my bacon! Hadn't seen the video before.

Hey Matt - nice avatar! Matt was driving the other car in the video! Gave me hell all race.

The 'enthusiatic' driver is the subject of a 13/13 investigation arising from the Sunday race. 944Cup has a modified 13/13, so first offense gets you a loss of points for the race and a start from the rear of the grid next race.

Hey Tony, are we looking at the same vid?? All I see is a whole bunch of daylight next to you when you go off at T2 in the clip linked above... what am I missing??? (Besides the fact I should have been there filling that hole...)
