7:15,63 min. Nürburgring new record
A GT2 get the record back. what a time!!!
7:15,63 min..
The receipt is easy. build a car with big HP. put a similar to race suspension and get a true carrera or supercup pilot and let him drive the car.
The 8 Min record is nothing any more.
who will break the 7 min limit first?

the tires?
an F1 car will not last a single lap at the RING.
F1 tracks are quite different.
20 km at the RING are like 200 on the street and about 500 for an F1 car

Hey Duke,
Tuned production cras: that is pretty arbitrary then - I doubt if there is a big difference between that GT2 and the Alzen car?
btw the 962 was productized - to a certain degree - by Dauer. Of course, this did not happen at the time when Stefan set the lap time.
But certainly correct - modern F1 cars would probably not last - the Nuerburgring is nothing like a modern F1 track, with all the bumps and all.

I agree DrRon... that GT2 is probably like the Alzen car but with the interior, kind of hard to draw the limit!
But the 962 is IMHO a bit different since it started out as a race car not the other way around as with the GT2.
