I was just wondering to those with WG dumps what it sounds like? Is it annoying? Do you get alot of exhaust smell in the car when it does dump? I am thinking about getting lindsey exhaust but am not sure if I should get a WG dump. If anyone has sound clips of a Tial with a WG dump could you post it?

I just built my own 3" exhaust and I did not tie the w/g into the system. It is really loud when it dumps. I will be routing that pipe into the exhaust very soon. Imagine how loud the engine would be if the exhaust was only coming off the header and no muffler. That's how loud it is. On the bright side, it only dumps when you're close to your set boost point. I would recommend getting the "tie w/g to pipe" option on the Lindsay system. Especially if this is a street driven car.

Tim, I'm running open dump on my project car. It sounds INSANE, almost like a jet fighter. If it was running I'd invite you to come check it out, but I dont think it will be before the end of the month.

 

Yeah I dont think I will be getting exhaust till late this year anyway, since i re-brazed my fuel rail and it started leaking again today so im gonna repair it temporarily and probably get the lindsey rail. Then maybe I will get the 4" exhaust with no muffler and WG dump even though i probably dont need to go 4inch its only like 100 more right
