Beautiful 951 FS in the NW
Well I thought I'd never do this, but it's time.
With a new baby boy on the way and work as busy as it is I just can't stand seeing it just sit in the garage unused. I've thought long and hard about this and at this point I want to concentrate on my family more than the P-car. I will be back in a Porsche someday, probabbly around the time my boy is old enough to enjoy it with me. I will be putting the proceeds of the sale in to a mutual fund for my Son's education, so please don't lowball me too much.
Here are a few details about the car, I will post all the maintence records/mods tomorrow as I have all the info already typed up at work.
1986 Porsche 951
111k miles
All record since new, I'm the third owner.
Sparco EVO2/Redline bar/Ground Force 6-point harnesses
Koni yellow adjustable(rebound and height) shocks/struts all around
Ground control camber plates
Eibach 300lbs springs in front
Turbo-S torsion bars/ 968 M030 helper springs in rear
968 M030 front sway bar
Weltmiester 3-way adjustable rear sway bar
968 updated castor blocks
HRE 543r wheels 17x8f and 17x9r with Bridgeston re730
set of track wheels 16x8 phones all around with Toyo RA-1
Guru Racing 18psi chipset
Reliaboost manual boost controller
Tial 38mm wastegate
B&B 2.5" SS catback
Bursch 2.5" test pipe
Autometer boost & AFM gauges.
Alpine CD and Bazooka sub.
New clutch
New CV joints
New Motor mounts
New vacuum lines/hoses
New rotors/pads
New overflow tank
New lots more I can't remember
Extra set of near perfect black leather seats.
A pickup load full of spare parts.
Exterior 8/10
Interior 9/10
Mechanicaly 9/10
This car gets tons of attention at all the track days I frequent. Truely one of those cars, really beautiful. I've spent thousands and it has benifited greatly from all the parts cars that have went through my garage.

Having driven Jason's 951, I will vouch for it being top-notch. Very strong runner and autocrosser. It would be very difficult to duplicate even at $$$ above his asking price. Sorry you have to sell, Jason. If you still have it, Sunset's Porsche swapmeet is September 11th. Might be a good place to get some eyes on it. Feel free to crash at my place.

Thanks guys!
John,
I may take you up on that if I'm in the country, I think I'll be in Puerto Rico that week, we'll see.
Jeff,
I know..............I think I'm doing the right thing, it just makes more sense to earn interest on that chunk of change verses losing $$. I can always buy another, but I won't get a second chance to rejoice in my son's childhood. After losing out on alot of my daughter's because of her Mother and I being immature idiots, I am even more so set on enjoying my incoming Son.
I won't be a stranger here, I've made and meet to many great people. Besides I need to keep track on the soon to be used Cayman market.......lol
Thanks,
Jason

Jason, looks to me like you've got that car right where so many of us are working towards, you're done spending on it. Throwing hard earned cash into one of these is bad enough, and you want to do it twice?
POP, I thought sure as hell you would be #3!

I've went through all these conversations in my head, "spent so much", "it's finally done....ect"
I know I'll probably kick myself somewhere down the road, but I still think it's the best thing to do right now.
I really want this car to go to a Rennlister, and not some "ill-informed vagrant".
If anyone is interested and is serious about buying, they will receive FULL disclosure on the car, all records, lots of extra parts, I know every square inch of this car and will be 100% upfront about any limitation, defects, ect....
I'm only going to advertise here and if it doesn't sell within the next month or so, I'll accept that it's not meant to be and hold on to it.
I wonder if I can get a rollbar adapter that a baby's car seat could mount to?

Kevin and Jason,
Honestly I thought for sure I'd be #3 also. . . I have gotten so fed up with 951 ownership but I guess the logic that's won out (at least for now) is "well, I'm in this far - might as well keep going". The car really doesn't need THAT much to be perfect and if we can have a good oil pan gasket party down here that'll be a major step forward.
I wish you luck Jason; I'd buy that car myself in a heartbeat (despite my being at a low point in my opinion of 951s) if I wasn't trying to save more money myself. Best of luck to you!
