oil consumption ?
is it normal to burn about 1.5 quarts of oil in 250 miles on a rebuilt engine, breaking it in right now, so 250 miles after rebuild not boosting, except for once last night just alittle not going past 5k, wasnt flooring it

Nope, not normal. Even right after the rebuild, with fresh rings, I didn't see substantial oil consumption. Are you seeing smoke in the exhaust? Or is there a leak?
