QUANTUM VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM
#2
I've removed a few alarm systems and it is usually plain and simple a pita. Plan this to take 2-4hrs if you are fully prepared. First find the "brain" for the alarm. The "brain-box" may have a diagram on it that tells you what each wire should be connected to and that will really help you out alot. In any case start tracing wires. If you have a multi-meter that will probably help. Make sure you disconnect the battery and then start pulling wires carefully.
You'll want a good soldering iron and alot of various sized heatshrink because the odds that someone just jacked it in there with electrical tape is pretty high.
Once you have repaired car harness/removed alarm harness reconnect the battery and you should be good to go.
My 951 came with a Hawk alarm system. Its kinda cheesy, but I do like the remote locking feature.

Are you just talking about the factory alarm? If so, I have removed mine, the brain is a black box with blue text and was in my passenger side under the dash. You need to bridge two wires otherwise you wont be able to turn the car over. You can take the vent cap off the door to get in and unscrew the key lock / alarm mechanism. Ite very easy, allow one hour max.
